Elliott Hughes Bio

Elliott Hughes was born in Waukegan, Illinois, in March 1950, the city where Jack Benny
was also born.

In high school, he majored in electronics and minored in art and English. Elliott was a star
athlete in high school lettering in basketball, football and track. He won the "Golden Helmet"
award for football and was an All-Suburban, All Lake County half-back for the Waukegan
Bulldogs.

He attended Western Illinois University, in Macomb, Illinois, in 1968, where he majored
in psychology and minored in art and English. His first loves in college were chess,
philosophy and psychology, but he was also passionate about poetry. His poetry appeared
in the annual student poetry publication and one of his poems, "Making Love," won first
place in their annual poetry contest.

The following year Elliott attended the College of Lake County, in Grays Lake, Illinois, again
majoring psychology and minoring in art and English.

Elliott left college in 1970, when he married his college sweetheart. They had a daughter. The
marriage lasted 13 years. He has been divorced ever since. He says he misses family life but
relishes the free time he can spend reading about and searching the past.

Like millions of other people in the 1970s and 1980s, Elliott Hughes became fascinated with the
published readings of Edgar Cayce. He was amazed that Edgar Cayce single-handedly changed
the Western world's view about reincarnation and became obessed with the study of comparative
religion or philosophy. He became determined to discover which religion or philosophy was the first
religion or philosophy and why.

Since about 1973, he has been an eclectic reader studying ancient religions and philosophies and
analyzing the reasons people believe what they believe. He also became obsessed with trying to
determine if there was any evidence that supported Cayce's revelation that Adam and Eve were not
the first humans.

His two nonfiction books, UFOs & Extraterrestrials: Why They Are Here--the Darkest, Longest
Kept Secret in Human History,
and The Secret Origin of the Human Species: the Chaos
Theory of Human Evolution
are information and insights correlated from this quest.

Elliott Hughes presently resides in Denver, Colorado.
